Just to add another question;

In the mystic market 1000 eternal soul coins is equivelent to 1 eternal soulstone or 20 eternal soul essence.  Would it change any opinions if 20 ese or 1000 esc were offered?  I think it might.  And is there a reason we weren't offered the coins, giving us the choice of how to spend them?

The value of the soulstone resources relative to shards/books increases exponentially from very low in early game to all that matters in end game. 

i would consider the soulstone a better value than the second tome, but neither one to be worth the resources required to attain them.

though i expect i might feel differently if i weren't sitting on about 60 lego tomes at the moment.

The eternal soul stones have some value, that's for sure, but the irony is, for most people, its value is much higher when it remains unsummoned. The value of the dream is what this soul stone is, because once it's summoned, and you get crap, it's worthless, and that's 99.99% of the time.

So, to answer your question, given that we know soul stones are mere wishes in the wind, if you were hungry, and i offered you a full meal right now, or, a ticket to win a year's worth of grocery, and you have a 1 in a million chance to win. Starve for a dream? Or fill your stomach?

Think the value of soulstone goes hand in hand with how many champs you have .. the more you have the higher you should value them ... Chances of getting one of the champs you own is way higher if you got like 400 different champs ...

Other way around if you got like a handful of legendaries and 2 dozen epics , the value goes down because the chance you get a soulstone for a champ you dont even have is higher.

For me , with 5-6 leggos and a dozen epics i actually use ... the 2 books are more valuable than the stone 

I don't see how a free to play player can reach 35000 im at 7500 with 22 hours left to go 

I think this kind of speaks to my second question.  If they offered an equivalent amount of soulcoins or soulmessence, it would be much more valuable to me.  Even with 100 leggo champs the chances of a stone dropping a 'target' soul is still rather slim.  But with easence I can save them until I see the soul i want.  Much more like booking than rng.

I occasionally spend so don't call myself f2p, but it's never more than $10/month and nothing lately.  I'm at around 35k and could easily get everything offered, but will conserve most of my remaining resources.  The difference is the age of the accounts.  Res really can snowball and then you gradually learn when and where to use it or stockpile it.  Just one example, I opened around 60 ancients for 10k+ points, but kept 150 (another 27k points) and didn't touch my voids or sacreds.

As you continue to play, your ability to stockpile and conserve res will improve.

I went for the soulstone as well.  My stockpile of tavern resources is not collecting interest.   So 2000 greens, alot of brews and chickens layers, and a collasal waste of 2 hours making more 5star chickens later i got a useless 6star soul 😆

Is that what you got? Mine was actually only 5star Demytha (don't even have on this account... 😆).  At least your 6star sells for more coins.

Yeah, stopped at the lego book. The big stone would have required *way* too much resource investment. Even as-is, I used more sacreds than I was planning - ended up using six in order to get the lego book, was hoping to only need to use three.

Interesting, I would have assumed u were swimming in tavern resources (chickens and brews).

Only thing I figure u to be lacking is greens if u still are allergic to brutal 12.3 😆 but o guess without greens I might not have brute forced the event either 

I'm more lacking in time than in resources. I have about 10k brews, and well over 2000 greens, but I have neither the patience nor the time to sit there for hours clicking those absurd buttons :)

I actually got a 5 star Tatura. Which I am considering not bothering with.., definitely leaving it in the collection for a potential sale when I need coins for even a 2 star I actually use,
