Upcoming Changes to Player Achievements

Greetings, Warriors!

As the game is nearing release, we have intensified our efforts to streamline certain features and ensure the best possible experience for our players. We are going to touch upon things to expect in the coming days, so stay tuned.

First, we would like to inform you that Player Achievements are going to see significant changes. As it stands, the feature does not give any significant weight or feeling of an actual achievement to the tasks that are outlined, and we feel that its current form needs to be revamped. Most of the current achievements are going to be removed, leaving the following:

  • Change your name
  • Change your avatar
  • Lock a Hero
  • Unlock a Hero
  • Connect your account to Plarium ID
  • Connect your account to Facebook
  • Turn on notifications

These will serve to highlight some minor but useful game elements to the new players. Achievements might get reworked later on, but at the moment it is too early to say anything for certain.

At the same time, a new feature will be introduced to replace the achievements that were lost, with its own set of rewards and requirements. This will ensure new players can still earn similar boons, albeit differently than was originally planned. Due to this, a number of Challenges and rewards for completing Campaign Stages for the first time have been rebalanced as well. And while this may sound intimidating, we are confident that the overall benefits of this change will become obvious when the mystery feature goes live.

This change will take place on January 31st, so be certain to wrap up any Achievements that you are close to completing before that date.

Important note: you need to collect your rewards before January 31st as well. If you do not, they will be lost when the update goes live.

Does this mean that official release is on the 31st? Or just an update as you prepare for it in the near future?

Also, this may have been discussed elsewhere... I know there's no planned "reset" for release, but will there be additional servers created? So that a new community of players can at least be on the same playing field with one another rather than compete against those with months of progression for having come across the unreleased version

Could you clarify, what you mean under Achievements?

We have:

- "Quests" that consist of: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Achievements

- "Challenges" that consist of: Champions, Artifacts, Dungeons, Arena

- campaign "Achievements"

Are we talking about all of these?

Thanks!

Hey, guys. To answer your questions:

Release date

January 31st is not the global launch date yet, no. It is the estimated date for our next update - do keep in mind that it might yet shift to early February in case of unforeseen circumstances.

New servers

New segments are likely going to be created as player numbers swell, but we will just have to see.

Achievements

Rewards that will be affected are as follows: Achievements (tab with the same name under Quests), Challenges (the ones you've noted correctly), First Time Completion rewards that you get when playing the Normal mode Campaign for the first time.

Marius, so as we've discussed before about the artifact challenge.  Right now some of us can't complete due to the 5* relentless needed.

My question is, how will this work, as others have completed it back before it was changed to needing 5* relentless, and they've gotten their rewards.  Which were more that the 2 epic tomes now available.

So is this going to be fairly sorted out, or are some people going to get better rewards? Maybe it should be reset to the original reward?

Does this mean anyone that already completed the first time rewards, will be able to replay through normal campaign and receive the new first time clear rewards?

I've passed that particular issue to the appropriate people, though at the moment I do not have an exact ETA on anything - will try to find out today.

Nope! But new players will see a different reward seeing as it will be adjusted/separated between the "First Time Completion" and the new quests.

I imagine the change will take place once this next update goes live.
