Davy Jones Locker

Hi All...Quick question:  I have multiple Davy Jones Lockers...but can only activate two of them for a 10% reduction in rum.  Is there a way to allow more of them activated for increased rum reduction - or do I just sell them for resources?

Nope, you can use only two. I sell the rest for the resources.

Just in case you're unaware of this: you no longer lose units if your rum drops to zero with negative production, so - with some raiding and quick spending - you don't really need those relics. I have two and haven't been using them since the troops stopped caring about zero rum. My production is at about -115k/h.

Thanks Captain...really...nothing happens when you have no rum and you have massive negative rum production?

I have been doing additional prizes just to kill off troops when I score big.

Just to be sure...negative rum production and the totals say 0 or lower.

This is from my account:

Except when the raids return, I'm at zero. Haven't lost a single unit to the rum negative.

And here is the official announcement from about a year and a half ago.

The only "downside" to big negatives is that when you drop below -100k rum per hour, you can no longer boost production of units.

Something also to note is when you're production is negative you have difficulty using your gold and lumber. Other than raiding, trading on the market or using resource packs on the market. The best suggestion is to ask you're bh for help with rum. Most bhs are helpful in that regard. Just keep in mind if you're too far negative you have to spend quick otherwise you lose it faster than you'll be able to use it . Especially in crowbars case.

I use only raids (and they're not even "mostly rum" raids), with no help or trading and I don't overfill.

Yes, the key is to spend as soon as your units return (you'd want to turtle your off immediately anyway) and to use most of your raid attempts every day.
