The "invite" window is needed, to let you know that the game is in "sleep" mode, which is also needed for technical reasons.

I do agree with your second point: ruby offers popups are beyond annoying, given that they are not needed for the normal functioning of the game, and they are always the same. I especially hate those that jump out mid game, while I'm doing something else.

Moreover, the new design of those popups is terrible. Instead of one window that needed minor scrolling to show 3 offers, we got 3 windows (between which we need to scroll) that each need more scrolling to show just one offer. I expect the next "improvement" to the game to be to replace clicking with typing full sentence commands. :-P

They added a fix a long time ago to prevent these popups - we were told that they would never appear after typing in chat, but this never worked. The very least they could do is remove all pop-ups while the chat box is open - It still hibernates whilst typing, which is totally unacceptable - http://prntscr.com/f2khbd

The sleep mode should never be needed, and certainly not so frequently

They should change it to 15 minutes or more, but I would like to see it removed completely

Sleep mode is designed to relieve pressure on the server but there is much more they could do to clean-up the game without resorting to such a primitive solution

Maybe if they removed the spam which inhabits every aspect of these games
or remove all blockade/tribute options which they have done on the new games

As much as I completely agree about the invite window. On a different stand point it is somewhat necessary. They want more players and to do that reminding us to bother our friends is the only option. We'd equally be annoyed if there was a bar at the top that said the same thing like in many mobile games.
