When you click someone else's cemetery, they get a Dark Corsair from you, not you from them. To get those from them, ask them to click on your cemetery.
It's not a very well thought of feature and it made more sense in the old days. Nowdays, hardly anyone bothers to visit friends' havens to collect spoils an raise DCs. The game is just too slow and crash prone for anyone to be bothered with it.
Also, in the old days, there was a "send my friends a parrot to come click my cemetery" button, but that was too spammy and not very efficient.
If you want loads of DCs, buy lots of graves. They seem expensive, but it's just a one-time expenditure. However, I'm not sure that they're worth either the rubies or the effort of daily visits to friends' havens.

Question for Crowbar. The maximum number of DCs revived per 24 hours is 25. Correct?
Yes. You can buy at most 22 Corsair's Graves + 3 you get to revive "for free" = total max. of 25.
Technically, you can revive 50 in just a few minutes... if you revive 25 just before the reset, then reload right after the reset and click 25 more, but that's probably not what you meant by "24 hours".

When I go to me hearties cemetary I don't see a floating skull. shouldn't I ?
Only if the Dark Corsair that they got from you is dead(er than usually). If they still have that Corsair alive undead and kicking, there is no skull because no one can have more than one Dark Corsair from the same player.
