How is it legal for RuAL to try to extort money from other BH's

How can it be legal or within Plarium's terms of service for RuAL, to demand that the top 15 BH's on the server pay them $100.00 a month in protection money to not have their bastions and presidios raided. The term for that is extortion and it needs to be addressed by Plarium. There should be no case where that is allowed or supported.

[17:13] shiv : We offer protection of ur Presidio(Bastion) from Rual Bh attacks 100$ a months each.

With Love Shiv :)

(send top-15 BH)

thats all fine except when they are using a automation program to run multiple accts and can produce 14000 frigates in a few months on a fairly undeveloped haven. Can you blithley explain that away, is that even taking pirating to a new and greater level?

yes as per plarium it is perfectly fine, legal.

They won't care until they are getting $$$ from them.

Extorting money, IMO, fails under "commercial purpose":

According to 18 USCS § 31, term "used for commercial purposes" means the carriage of persons or property for any fare, fee, rate, charge or other consideration, or directly or indirectly in connection with any business, or other undertaking intended for profit.

By Plarium's Terms of Use, this is not allowed:

I know that you're all tired of the "file a ticket" advice, but unfortunately this is the best that the forum mods can give you.

We already have a thread where this is being discussed, and having several of them on the same topic is impractical for discutants,  I will lock this one. Please, continue there.
