Having long ago lost the power of flight, they lay in wait for goats, small dragons, or anything else that looks edible enough to come within striking distance. Unless you've got an oxcart, they're not much use in a frontal assault - but any attackers who don't notice this particular boulder are in for a nasty surprise.
