there is always an eb and flow in the top clans. They really strong players purchase gems and after a while they slow down or wants less expense(after all it is just a game) . Also those at a high level such as myself run out of goals/acheivements/things to do besides current events and that will also make playing less attractive. I mean imagine nothing to build not buildings to upgrade  no statues to win no bloodpacks to sign.. so what can you do except raid battle grounds and pvps events.. and your resources are not really needed as keeping ques filled is like sleep walking. you dont even think about it. I personally do what i love in game and walk away being this level is great in many ways less like a job and less worry about what you spend your resources on or trying to balance what to focus on for best affect. but also reason some step down to lower clans or just go clanless.
