Brickhouse Worth the Credits?

Before I knew Brickhouse could be purchased for credits, I had no intent to unlock it. However, since it is available and I am currently over halfway there, I'm stockpiling credits to possibly purchase it.

Is it worth the effort? I currently only run 4 mechs since I haven't bothered to unlock the 5th slot and don't usually go through all my mechs in a battle. I'm just unsure it would often go in that 5th slot if I had it unlocked https://tweakbox.mobi/ https://vlc.onl.

I'm also about to unlock the Railgun, for greater context. I have all the FtP friendly mechs unlocked except Redox and Surge (see FtP friendly).

For the record, not a fan of contributing to the Rocket Mortar meta, so I'd be using a build that gets me in the mix with the Brickhouse.

If you run in a team then Brickhouse is great as it pairs well with other specialized mechs (MD, Panther, Killshot) but if you run mostly solo you wont reap the full benefit. It is still a good mech but you kind of make yourself a target

I've discovered, too late, that dividing your resources among many mechs is no good. I wish I had only focused on three mechs to make them stronger.

I'm 6100 pwr with maxed mechs and pilots and I still havn't gotten a brickhouse. I run solo a lot and it's not an ideal mech to use solo.

When I do run squads I'm picked up by guys 5500+. They never use BH either. BH will get mortared quickly. At these levels almost everybody is running a maxed artillary pilot which will take a BH out in one volley.
