Specialisation Spree Missile Rack 8

The payout for this new event is not worth it. As shown, the Missile Rack 8 is 310,000 credits.

i

Rounding down, that is 3,000 a-coins.

i

But the overall reward is 300 a-coin... 10% of the _possible_ outlay.

i

Understandably, if a player has enough credits this would not be an issue. I have needed to use my credits to upgrade mechs and weapons. As a result, I can't participate in some of the missions and rewards. I'm sure there will be more players in this situation.

Specialization events are not intended as a global event.  Even if you had the item not every player would use MR8's or be able to equip them on the mechs they play the most.

The intent is for it to be a challenge to those who don't currently use them and a reward for those that do.  The same is true with past specailization events for long-arms and pulse cannons.

It is a bit of a sneaky marketing tactic though.

-Create a Special event with special gear.
-Put special gear on sale
-????
-Profit

I'll get to a point where I start paying to upgrade my Loadout, it's just a bit of a sting not being able to participate in all events the game has to offer.

I get it but everyone has their preference.  For example, I really don't play MD or Killshot.  Any specilization events with them and I pretty much ignore it as it is not my cup of tea.

Fair call. I haven't really thought that far ahead but you're right. Anything with those two I'll probably miss as well. Bugger...

I guess this means I just have to stick around and be a part of all the events I can/want to be a part of!

The problem is that A-coins are like... pretty importaint?

Of there are critical rewards for these events, why would you NOT take part in them?

300,000 credits is not a non-trivial amount of cash to afford them.

Frankly, the fact that the Racks ALSO went on sale for $10's is outright insidious.

Even more insidious are the events that REQUIRE you to upgrade/rank items,

Like in the last Red Key events, what happens to the late game players who's weapons and mechs are SO expensive to upgrade and rank, that the event litearlly becomes impossible to complete without spending real money on the game?

Mecha arena hard locks the amount of credits and crates you can earn per day,

By my estimates, its somewhere along the lines of... at most, without events active, 60k-70k before the game artificailly stops you from earning more credits. where INDIVIDUAL SINGLE POINT UPGRADES, can cost well over 100,000 credits. not facting in the face that Rankup's also cost THOUSANDS of A-coins, negating the value of the event entierly.

And in the case of the disk launcher events, you either got (worthless) skins,

or, Equally worthless sums of credits. Because the disk launchers were entirely Lootbox based.

The person with the WORST luck on earth, would be looking at spending well over $120 trying to unlock them.

Ultimatly,

The pricipal behind the events, and the sales, are utterly corrupt.

Create a fake sense of urgency by offering time senstive prizes, but then also sell the way to win those prizes.

It was never about rewarding the player base, its just there to milk them for a little extra cash.
