Is this game too greedy??

First of all, don't mind pay to play games as it supports the devs and the continued support.

But to level up ANY mech or weapon to a different band takes A-coins and not a little but a lot. New mechs and weapons require A-coins with no options to buy with the currency earned.

I saw carbine 8 for $74 AUD which is the price of carbine 12 for $142!! Is this for real??

Anyone who buys these at this price are plain stupid.

Why isn't there an option to use the earned currency as well as using A-coins to buy new stuff?

Why not include a currency exchange of in game currency for A-coins?

I grind and do all the daily and weekly missions but cannot progress without spending unreasonable amounts of money.

I am thinking of walking away which is a shame because I enjoy this game but the cost is too much for little progression.

Currently the best way to get A-Coins in through tournaments.  Derby events help but Tournaments give better rewards.

The last bracket if the tournament I had to fight 250 battles(In the highest bracket group 1). That cost me 1250 in A coins just to buy those tickets so made pretty much nothing. You need to treble those rewards across the board just to be worth the grind.

I am at the stage now where is really pointless to continue to grind the same activities for so little reward or progression. I am not going to bother to continue unless something changes.

Also I see the subject of ridiculous real world money for singular skins or guns hasn't been addressed... it's just pure greed.

Hey there! Like in most F2P games, in-game purchases in Mech Arena are optional. We’re constantly adding Events and Challenges that reward active players with game currency to make sure they can develop their Squad faster.

Yes game purchases are optional.... if you want to win. This game is so pay to win it's a joke. Your forced to buy A coins just to level up. If you don't, your weaker than the bots we play. The rewards for the daily, weekly and other challenges are pathetically small compared to the effort put in.

Trying to justify $170+ dollars for a weapon is ridiculous.

Ive  never  undestood  why  prices  are  set  so  high  in  freemium  games.    Set  them  lower  and  wouldn't  more  players  toss  some  money  into  the  game?    Instead  most  items  that  are  desirable  are  priced  in  a  range  only  the  whales will  pay.    Its  the  way  freemium  mobile  games  are  built  now.

Spot on. Just unlocked arc torrent 10.... need more than 2000 A coins to buy.... that's more than $30 AUD. At least give us an option  to buy with credits earned, even at an inflated rare.... sooooooo greedy.

Check out this level of greed!! And don't forget you will need another 50 or 60 dollars to rank it up.

I understand why you feel thay way but I don't really agree.

If you choose to spend money then you are paying to to reduce time in a game.  Rather then spending time to unlock items you are just paying to avoid that part.  Once, you unlock it though your Squad Power instantly increases and are placed in higher brackets with stronger opponents.

It still requires skill to use whatever weapon/bot you have equipped because even with the best mech and best weapon you can't just stand in the middle or the arena firing off rounds.  You will get picked apart.

Skill is a thing in this game. If you don't want to pay, be good at what you do and you'll do great.

It's that simple.

The store's stuff is indeed a bit expensive, and the official answer makes some sense.

But my idea is that the current game content is not rich enough, and the current gameplay is relatively simple.

Except for the last few days of the tournament, I have no motivation to play this game. Why should I spend money without the motivation to play?

And the biggest problem: hackers

pay to win or hack to win, that is the question

What gets me is when something is unlocked you still have to buy it. All the work to get it unlocked just to have to grind harder to but it.

t's got nothing to do with reduce the time in the game. I grind all tournaments,  daily and weekly and my xp unlocks weapons and mechs that you can ONLY pay with A coins. The amount is so much it's impossible to grind for it. You may earn 5 A-coins a day grinding if your lucky.  Some events may reward you with 100. Far cry from the 1000's required to buy a weapon. Even upgrading your current mechs and weapons requires A coins to progress to the next bracket. I have a titan ready to upgrade - 1280 A-coins. A javelin 6 - 1200 A-coins. A killshot - the same. Ridiculous. Gameplay or skill has nothing to do with this, it's the inability to find another way to progress and have the many hours grinding feel respected. This game is pure pay to win. The more you pay the more powerful you are,  simple as that.

I am going to delete my account and my son's until such time the devs give players who put in time other ways to progress.  Most greedy pay to win game I have ever experienced.

Exactly! You have no option but to spend real world money to buy it. Might as well just slap it all in a marketplace and save the time wasted.
