New Mech Weapon Load Update vs 3rd Weapon Slot
The increase of mech energy is a nice addition but it has drawbacks IMO. With the addition of the Arachnos we now have, lemme think, 5 mechs that can be loaded out to 32. But we only have two niche weapons (railgun16 and stasis16) to fully loadout 2 of them. I think the update was a big mistake as it further deprecates the use of lvl 2-6 weapons more so than before the update.
I think the addition of a 3rd weapon slot would have been the best update to the game. Every mech has a spot on their head for a 3rd mount. Instead of getting a duplicate mech at Rank 7 Lvl 1, we should have gotton a 3rd weapon slot but kept the same weapon energy. This would have brought back the use of lvl 4 and 6 weapons which were just noob stuff and now collecting dust. Also, at Rank 7 Lvl1, weapons should offer a 3rd copy. A 3rd slot and weapon would have increased the customization ability for players and offered more diverse gameplay. You could setup more entertaining loadouts such as:
Killshot:
Jav6, Jav6, Jav6 or Jav6, Jav6, MR6
Pulse8, Pulse8, Lance2 (for it's overheat perk)
or this would be fun AF: Shotgun4, Shotgun4, Arc10
Zephyr:
Shotgun4, Shotgun4, Arc10 would be beastmode!
Panther/Gaurdian/Redox:
Pretty much everything you can imagine can go on the mechs
Carbine8, Carbine8, Carbine8
Carbine10, Carbine10, Lance2 (overheat)
MR8, MR8, MR8
Longarm8, Longarm8, Longarm8, ect, ect
Lancer, Shadow, Cheetah
any duel energy 6 or triple 4 weapon combo
Shadow with 3x Shotgun 4 would be super fun.
Comon Plarium. Dontcha want that income for people trying to level up lvl 4/6 weapons instead of them just leveling lvl 8+ weapons?
