Javelin/Rocket mortar counter

Having experienced the trouble of avoiding Javelin and rocket mortar fire as well as seeing how much damage these weapons do while keeping the user very safe from the enemy team I would like to suggest a form of AMS (anti missile system) exclusive to select mechs, such as JUGGERNAUT who serve as a front line mech with weaker weapon mounts but high health would be move viable as a front line mech if they had an AM system to lessen the damage received from indirect fire from javelins and mortars.

what about just a nerf instead? that'll make everyone happy instead of some bullcrap anti missle system . because nine times out of ten, javelin or rocket players wont always aim for juggernaut

Hey, guys! We are working on rebalancing some weapons and mechs. Maybe after these changes, this mechanics will be more comfortable for all.

I hope they don't nerf these weapons. Sure, Mortors can be annoying, but they are actually really hard to get kills with, and by staying under shelter or using walls effectivly, you can avoid both these weapons. Also, range is an important factor for both weapons. If you can get inside 46m, mortors cant hit you. If you get closer than 15 meters or futher then 75m, javilens can't hit you. 

With a small amount of strategy, you will find that mortors and javalins are really quite fine as they are.

There are are a few counters in place already but I can see how it can get annoying if you haven't unlocked them or know about them.

MrShrike is right that distance plays an important role.  If you can get close enough they can't target you.
Next would be terrain, staying under bridges or rooftops in certain parts of the map cancels out the arched missle attacks.  Using a Shadow mech to get in close is another counter.  Equipe Rocket 6 and you can make short work of mechs.

Mortar I think is fine as is with its weapon energy cost as a deterant. 

If you were going to nerf Javelin you need to take away the ability to curve rockets for kills.  I mean you dont even have to peak out your head sometimes for kills.  The trick is once you have a lock you aim to the left or right and target and the rockets can curve around buildings and terrain.

Wish i would have seen this thread before i started the killshot javelin one video really shows exactly what im talking about for all those who say just take cover i dont see any cover for that ai bot even if it was a player it never had a chance  running to the walls would have just been a waste of time and that might require a bit of clairvoyance. Even if the bot found that 1 bit of cover the lancer has effectively stopped the bot from capping the beacon. Perhaps some protection over the beacons could solve this  Provide a little protection while not eliminating to much area for javelins
