Mod Parts = Money Grab!

So Plarium has decided that players shouldn't be allowed to use just ONE type of mod part to purchase and upgrade both legendary and epic mods but instead players must earn/buy SEPARATE MOD PARTS.  That's the equivalent of having separate implant parts for legendary, epic and rare implants.   Separate pilot marks for rare, epic and legendary pilots.  Separate credits and a-coins for common, uncommon, rare, epic and legendary weapons and mechs.  I wish I could say I was surprised with this obvious attempt at a money grab.  It's not too late to change Plarium and make it right.  Will you?

Here's the logic behind separating normal and elite mod parts: It's similar to the credit and acoin system, where you use easier-to-obtain resources for early-game upgrades and harder-to-get resources for later-game advancements.

While I personally would prefer a unified system, I can see how the current system has its advantages. It allows newer players to experiment with mods without immediately committing significant resources. As they progress and accumulate elite mod parts, they can transition to more powerful legendary mods.

This approach prevents players from accidentally overinvesting in early-game mods, which can lead to imbalances in their progression. By gradually introducing more powerful mods, the game ensures a smoother and more enjoyable experience for everyone.

Your example of credits and acoins is laughable.  A relevant comparison would be different credits for common, uncommon, rare, epic and legendary weapons AND mechs THEN different acoins for common, uncommon, rare, epic and legendary weapons AND mechs.  The comparable result would be 20 different types of currency,  not 2.

Once again, another classic bait and switch.

What exactly do you think blueprints are? They're a form of resource that are unique to each and every piece of item. That serves your need for an example regarding 'relevant comparison'.

I brought up the example of acoins and credits because it follows the same logic as mods; one is an easy to earn, cheap currency whereas the other is a harder to earn, premium currency. That's the parallel that I was drawing.

I don't get your comment about "another classic bait and switch" but I assume that's because you misunderstood my comment, since nothing I said had anything to do with either baiting or switching.

Now that's grasping at straws.  To top it off, basic mod parts CANNOT be used to upgrade legendary mods yet elite mod parts MUST be used to upgrade BOTH epic AND legendary mods.  Who dreamt this stuff up???

Are they going to start charging for each bolt and screw that it's put together with too? Honestly though l is how many parts involved with the necessary load out? Between pilots, the stuff you can't remove due to excessive greed. Is it 5 or 15 with these mod

Plarium, fix the broken mod parts.

Instead of just whining about it, why not provide constructive criticism, and maybe they will!

Instead of just criticizing someone maybe you should actually read the entire post and then offer your own CONSTRUCTIVE solution.   Those that actually read the post will see the solutuion is obvious.

The logic there is so simple ... WE NEED MONEY FROM YOUR POCKETS!  MODs ruined the game, since it was introduce to the game, MechArena became Shiel Arena and the game is no more FUN! Stop then talking to much blah blah blah blah. You killed this game with mods, so many players did not accept this change and they just leaved. This game is dead since MODs!

I did read all of your ramblings.

They didn't exactly make much sense, and I did offer a solution for you.

That being you should provide constructive criticism, as you're the one taking an issue with it.

The solution isn't as easy as you might think, but you wouldn't know, you don't do your own research

Hell, I originally clicked on this post to write a comment agreeing that mods are definitely a cash grab to a certain extent.

But your amazing logic changed my mind!

Mods ruining the game or not is subjective. That's your opinion and one I personally don't share.

Personally, I prefer the longer ttk, as it makes the game more tactical, instead of just who has he best sniper build.

I always found the one-shot meta unfair and unfun, especially due to bots.

Yes, mods aren't perfect, definitely not. But it's still an improvement

And yes actually, the game does need money from the whales pockets.

How else are they supposed to maintain dozens of severs, and have funds to develop the game?!

Well, I cannot have an discussion with you when you're adamant on listening to your own voice and focusing solely your own points. So, think whatever you wish to; just like facts don't care about feelings, it's obvious that your feelings don't care about facts either. All I ask is please make sure to not break the forum rules while agreeing with yourself. Have a great day :)

Well that speaks volumes.  You can't make sense of something so you do the very thing you are trying to berate me for doing.  The solution is clearly spelled out for everyone else in my post and yes, it is a very straightforward and simple fix.
