I feel like it would slow mobile devices some what, and also would be only abused 99% of the time.

I generally also don't think it's a priority of Mech Arena, and also it would offer an advantage to those willing to use it over those who are not.

If you want to play with VC, play with a friend and do it something like discord (ideally as light as possible, to minimise performance loss), as CrystalDrew suggested

praiseplayz, this is a bad idea. I would go as far as to say it is a good concept, but a bad idea. Sadly, the chats would be frequently abused and would expose younger audiences to things they should not witness.

In lieu of this idea, players should use Discord, Google Meet, or any other more mature chat system.
