Why They Will Not Fix Matchmaking

This is my opinion!! Complaining to managers and mods is, for all intents and purposes, useless, especially when some of them blame the players. It is in Plarium's best interest to have your Mechs overmatched in the Tournaments and other arenas! They tell you that we are not FORCING you to pay.  The fact that you are consistently outmatched gives you more incentive to pay. We ALL KNOW THIS to be true. I would love to see some clown argue this point. This is why, despite years of complaints about matchmaking, there's always a fix in development - it's just not quite ready.

If I were to say that I played today and got annihilated, a moderator or manager would respond with statements such as: "We are currently in the middle of a test," "We will forward your feedback to the developers," "Fair matchmaking is not possible due to SP droppers," or "We are in the current development stage." My opinion is that this is just BS!! If you search the forum, you will find years' worth of complaints and the exact same responses. Fair matchmaking is achievable. It's not impossible; it's done every day, everywhere, just not here. If someone tells you that it cannot be done, then they are lying to you!

Two days ago, I participated in a tournament. Here are the stats of two of my opponents and me.

My XP 205000                          Opponent XP 326000            Opponent 2 XP 326000

MY Inventory Power 9.4 K        Opponent IP 14500               Opponent 2 IP 32000

MY Squad Power Played 4402 Opponents SP Played 7987   Opponent 2 SP Played 11200

(All Opp, Mechs had at least 5 Stars in Squad Played)

These were the approximate figures for just 2 matches. I invite you all to do the same. Look up your latest opponents and check their XP and Squad Power Stats. You will find that there may be a significant difference.

SP dropping can have an impact on the algorithm, but it is not the sole determining factor. Many online games provide fair matchmaking despite the challenge of dealing with players who use clever cheating methods.  These game developers still strive to offer a reasonably fair product by any standard.

I remain firm in my belief that Plarium may be more inclined to adjust the matchmaking algorithm if it proves to be more beneficial for them. There is only one way to influence the decisions of a profit-oriented gaming corporation ... MONEY!

Hello! Thanks for sharing your points, we will take them into account. The Matchmaking system is a complicated feature on which we've been working since the launch of the game. It never be perfect, but we are doing our best to make it work alright. Although there have been multiple concerns since the beginning, a lot of work has been done as well.

The game provides flexible balance, and thus, the Matchmaking system faces inconsistency, not to mention the activity of its abusers. Nonetheless, we are working on coming up with different adjustments to make it work much better. Hope that after some time you will notice these changes!

Thank you for your response. It's unfortunate that some individuals become defensive when others share their opinions about Mech Arena. They make everything way too personal. I appreciate your open-mindedness and willingness to engage in constructive discussions.
