Any game mode, a 1v1 with only real players.. something without these non human AI bots, they have too much influence on matches. If you're going to match up a 1v1 in the 2v2 game mode could the 2 non human AI bots be disabled? The AI know everything about you, your setup like how much ammo you have and how long your reloads and abilities to be ready. They know exactly where you are on the map even when you aren't spotted or ever been spotted, while in stealth mode as well. The AI know everything all the time no matter what. I'd wait howeve many rminutes it'd take for matchmaking if there is no non human AI bots in the match.
Every match I enter no matter cpc, 5v5 or 2v2 it's always a 1v1 and the rest are cheating AI bots.. just give us a 1v1 mode if the pvp is so dead that it's 98% AI bots in the match. I play for PvP not PvAI. I had an aegis tank AI bot chase my killshot around a 2v2 map 3 times as it just plowed through my dumb AI teammate without issue or even stopping it's chase, it was in lightning fast sprint mode that never went away.. an Aegis kept up with my killshot and dashes, the game then decided to magnetize an obstacle and my killshot was stuck and couldn't move an died to the cheating AI. My AI was chilling in a corner spinning in circles. What a bunch of rigged trash these AI are!
Again, welcome to mech arena, new or not. *SIGHS HEAVILY*
I've been here since launch day... the games matchmaking, balance or anything to help with it has never been addressed in a positive way. They've been saying the same thing about matchmaking for over 3 years now and as you know, other than a few maps they've done nothing but add new things to buy. The option to purchase items seems to be the only thing that never has issues.
Hello! It's not beyond the realms of possibility. More Modes are yet to come 😉
Nonetheless, I'd like to shed some light on the current state of affairs. Our community is located all around the globe, so sometimes there can be a lack of online players with approximately the same Squad Power due to different time zones - that's why we use bots. Our team is working on improvements for the AI to make them more advanced in imitating a real player.
I understand that there is a lack in human players. Might be because people like to play PvP, not PvAI matches. So much new stuff getting added to the game causing all this unbalanced matchmaking and pushing informed people away. Hopefully the whales and uninformed keep this game alive for a future.

If it's because the community is located all around the globe without the same approximate SP due to different time zones then why can I join a 2v2 match with 1 player and an AI bot on each side and leave it immediately as soon as the game let's me, I go straight to the 2v2 and search again and I'll get another match with a player and AI on each side, leave it immediately and immediately start a new 2v2 search and again same thing, 1 player and AI on each side. I did this 6 times in a row all with the same results. There was plenty of players searching in 2v2 at the same time with approximately the same SP (I checked each real player)... and also why are the developers working to create the illusion of facing a real player instead of creating a more balanced PvP environment? I've been seeing community managers on here for years saying the same as you say. From my years of experience with this game, it seems that the AI are there to control win rates and to make the match frustrating in hopes it'll push the player into spending. The AI need to go but that won't ever happen even if everyone on the globe was playing at the same time.

You'll forgive us old folks that have been playing long enough to get past a hanger power of 4k in thinking that anything is being done to improve things for the community. Any response is met with, "that's just what happens when changes happen," "any change changes the meta," "there's limited options based one availability." Instead we get, "here's a mech and weapon that you can spend $100 on and then another $100 to level it up to be useful" I understand the need to make money for a company but this isn't even micro transactions, you kill f2p to the point of frustration so they either justify paying or quit.
BTW I've cleared my friends list 6 times due to "meta" changes making inactive players. I'll give you a hint, that isn't boosting the community when I clear it 3 times a year.
I always find this debate interesting. The fact of the matter is that we now know what will happen if Mech Arena were to get rid of bots. Look at their "test of the match making system". That's exactly what it would look like. If you have a squad power (not hager power, but power for the 5 mechs you are running in a match) above 10k, you were most likely ok with it. If you didn't, it was horrible enough to make you quit.
I realize that bots are annoying to deal with. It can be hard when you've won enough times in a row that the system decides it needs to punish you with bots that are most likely 2k or more over your squad power and agressive as heck. However the alternative of a game with no bots is even worse. When your opponents have 6-11k more squad power than you and are camping your spawn points, its no longer a game, its just torture.

I run a hanger around 5.5k - 6k.. yes the "test" was awful but I don't consider it a test when it was only released in tournament. It did nothing but allow the whales to destroy everything in seconds. There was nothing to learn from it, they already knew what was going to happen, a whales playground. This game shouldn't be considered a PvP game when it's full of preprogrammed bots deciding our win rates. I remember when they'd always say "think of it like a coin toss, sometimes you win sometimes you lose" how is something digitally preprogrammed to control win rates comparable to coin toss?
