Is this why?

Mech Arena has been doing not so well lately. I think I may know why.

Just like merge gardens, Mech Arena was a game created for fun or maybe for a test to see what they can do. However, Mech Arena became a hit for plarium, and it became super popular and famous. Over 50 million downloads. This was likely not their intention, yet now they have to keep updating the game and adding new things, likely for money because they know they make more than $900k every month from Mech Arena.

This is probably why they don't add what we like because they know it will cause us to keep playing the game. They have so many more games, such as raid shadow legends. Doing way better than Mech Arena. They would rather put their time and expenses into that than Mech Arena. This is all part of the plan, this is why they don't care when we say we are leaving the game.

What do you think, am I far off, or is it close to what you think?

Honestly, i think they are still using this game as a way of testing what works and what doesn't work, aside from that this is something that ALOT of games are suffering from and not just mech arena. If you were to look at the gaming market as it is right now, a lot of companies are having problems like these for various reasons.

I do not think plarium is trying to kill off this game, just shutting it down would cost them way less money than what they are doing right now.  ( at least from my point of view)

I don´t know, I thing Mech Arena is paying them well. Prices are ridiculous.

Hello! Mech Arena is definitely not a test project. It's a self-sufficient game with its own lore, unique features, characters, and mechanics. Although the game may not bring you as much fun as you'd like to have or it doesn't meet your expectations, step-by-step, we are working on upgrading it to some new amazing level. We  see, and we understand why you are getting upset sometimes, but we hope for your understanding as all of this is a part of the way to something exciting and rad!

abandoning the game means, NOT SPENDING ANYMORE, not even 1 cent on a game that is not fun, you play it, with the hope, that it has improved today. but it is not like that.. abandoning means, not spending... what I did.... and I see that nothing changes... and will not change. beyond the fact of the failure of the MODs, immediately modified, let's applaud....... but the game system always remains, which for many remains unplayable, without fun but a lot of frustration, I repeat you play it, but passively, because it is not what we seek or want for a game, born well, but updated very badly. In the hope of a better future, which will not happen, now the forum is 90% complaints. but nothing changes.

I know, I have told you to remove mods so many times. Yet so many people love it. However, many people hate it, too. So, can you make it to where we can choose if we want to play a match with mods or without mods. If you do, I will start playing. Mods is more so the reason I dont play anymore, aside from overpowerd bots and matchmaking problems, but moreso mods. If we are able to play matches where mods are disabled, that will be more fun to me.

Maybe that's something to do next update, make it to where we can choose if we want to play a match with mods or no mods; abilities of mechs or no abilities, meaning only mech and health and weapons; abilties of weapons or no abilities of weapons, for example, no implosion damage of grav beam, just the normal damage, and no higher damage the farther your away with em's, just the normal damage, or even rocket mortars with no boost score just the regular damage. If this makes sense?

CD - Love ya.  Personally, you're great.

However, you've only been checking these forums twice a week and then only for an hour or two.  I know it used to be a lot more (only a couple of months ago it was nearly a daily check).  There was a crisis going on in the game and we weren't heard because no one was checking the forums.  And now that I've read through your responses, they are nearly all the exact same thing.  A minor word or three changed between a couple of them, but otherwise a lot of them are nearly word for word.

When customers are ignored like this, their imaginations start to run wild ("oh, they don't care"; "oh, they're scaleing back support"; "oh, they're going to be sold").  For customers, perception is reality.  If they perceive that you aren't keeping up with them and responding, then no matter what you say later - they will believe something is wrong.

Your lack of observance has been ok for the mundane, day to day posts that have been made for most of the weeks.  However when something massive like what happened last week occurs, or like what happened when mods were released, you and the company have to be more responsive and let us know you are seeing our feedback quickly.  Saying you've heard it days afterward is not good enough.

Damage has already been done.  You've lost players.  Heck, you're in the process of losing me as I was forced to assume for days last week that this was going to be the state of the game going forward (no one reponded to anything for the first what, 4 days?).  I found another game that I enjoy.  Yes, I'm still logging into MechArena, but I am finding myself spending more and more time on my other game.  It may change, it may not.  But I've been looking.

Oh, and I'm not a person who the free implant change is going to affect.  I don't have enough A-Coins to buy enough good weapons that I'd want to change them out like this.  It is letting me swap out 2 implants for free, but then again I've got enough of the implant currency that I could lose the normal 70% for 2 implants and be ok.

Please don't take this as a personal attack.  I'm sorry if it's come across that way.  Take this as an observant, loyal customer sounding the alarm that something is wrong.

Hello! Thanks for your comment. I appreciate it. The forum is being checked daily, but I was absent for several weeks beforehand, so that's why such an impression could appear. Although these days I have quite a large amount of feedback I need to process, be sure that I always check the forum (even if there are no replies) and that you are really heard!

Hello! At this moment, we can't implement such an option as it requires too deep intervention in the current balance and Matchmaking. We are already working on the adjustments for the Matchmaking system, but not in the way of turning off/on the Mods.
