Repair beam weapon idea
In Mech Arena, the gameplay usually revolves around a group of mechs sprinting to center beacon, and in the process, running into the enemy team- which leads to early game eliminations.
So I propose a beam weapon that can HEAL allied mechs, at a certain range of course, but it lacks in any actual damage towards the enemy. For uniqueness sake, the heal beam that I propose shouldn't damage enemies for the sake of it not being undermined by the other beam type weapons. Although I've thought of another mechanic in which whenever you damage an enemy with the weapons- the same amount of damage gets transferred into heals for you.
As for the design, I propose that the beam would be oval shaped with green tubes wrapping around a exhaust looking barrel. With a green beam spouting out of the gun- similar to M.D's healing abilities color.
For context, the weapon would be PERFECT for any support/ team players, those who work with close proximity with allies. With this in mind, M.D is a prime pick for this weapon because of its already known abilities. Slap the healing beams and you're now a team healing MACHINE! Guardian can also work well because of it's slow speed, it can form behind allies or hide behind cover, and repair allied mechs in safety.
As for the stats. This concept will bare the same stats as the standard thermal lance. Although it might be best if it was modified for balancing reasons.
Some upgrades can include- beam duration, increased healing factor, and beam range :)
