Paying is optional in the game. You can progress without spending. However, it requires a lot of time and effort. Surely, it can be really fun and stuff. Personally, I prefer this approach to playing the game.

Nonetheless, spending speeds up your progress, which can be pretty beneficial for a YT channel. Besides, your competitors may purchase some novelties to make their Content more interesting.

But, you need to decide the course of your channel as they are quite diverse. Perhaps using Mechs that you already have or are available for in-game currency would be enough for niche, so in this case, you don't need to spend. It can be just skill-based gameplay videos about strategy, tactics, approaches, etc.

In a nutshell, analyze the market and examples of what you are going to record. It will help you to find out the answer 😉

imagine how many people might be interested in seeing MECH ARENA matches, I don't even watch the official channel... there's more interesting stuff out there., and certainly not mech arnea, a game rigged in favor of high levels, and ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE.. imagine if I spend my time for a human game against BOT auahah, no thanks. games with real and fun humans are full out there... I wouldn't invest money for a Y.T channel dedicated to mech arena, you'd be wasting your money... for nothing.,
