As someone who enjoys achievements, it would have been nice to know that this was coming.  I feel like an idiot for having upgraded several common and uncommon weapons just to have their achievements change so that they apply to the weapon category now instead of the particular weapon.  Don't get me wrong, this is something needed for the game, but I've wasted a lot of resources and time on this.  

Communication would have solved this.  If something would have gone out 2-4 weeks ahead of time, I'd feel differently.  I'd have known that something was coming and could have not spent any more on those items until the changes dropped.  I could have backed off of the grind that I've been doing for those old achievements and not feel like I've wasted my time.

I've been digging though some of the history of Mech Arena and am finding that communication with the player base has been slowly getting worse over time.  We used to get patch notes for every patch, now, we get almost nothing.  It also doesn't help when you skip version numbers and then say nothing about the fact that they were skipped (it adds to the impression that you don't WANT to communicate).  Communication is key.

Please pass along that players do pay attention to these little PR things and that they are important.
