New mech idea

I would like to suggest a new mech. Portal. Light mech with a similar mechanic to gatecrasher but instead of shooting a damage beam it creates a portal where it hits and comes out the other side. 

It would make cpc really interesting. Probably too overpowered though.

That's a really cool idea. It could be a potal that lights for five seconds and has a 15 second cooldown with no implants that can extend the amount of time the portal is open. It is hits a mech on accident then it should be a five second cooldown instead of 15.

I thought of it as cpc follow the same pattern and be nice if something could throw a spanner in the works if you are last mech and trying to save the game by staying alive and escaping the 5 mechs bearing down on you.

Hi! Thanks for sharing your idea! We already have some suggestions from players to implement the Portal Ability. I guess it would be pretty hard to realize it in the game (as it changes the flow of the battle quite considerably), but we will certainly share it with our developers!

I think it's good to affect the flow as the trouble is there is no coming back in most situations. Adding variability allows a more exciting game experience. May as well give up when couple mechs left and all 5 opponents are bearing down on your spawn point. Killshot can't escape nor surge as their abilities are too short. Just a thought.

If it lights for 5 seconds then I gives just enough time for you and one other each to get through it. It doesn't seem OP to me if you make the mech have 24 or 16 max energy cap.
