Okay everyone
MY TURN
Yes but no
right and wrong
WHERE YOU GUYS ARE WRONG
All your reasons are wrong, and I know what I'm talking about, you guys don't know how to deal with it or deafeat it, or even even use it to your advantage, and it is obvious.
First, MATCHMAKING.
Matchmaking is a godsend.
You will loose if you win. You will be placed in games where you will win and in games that are too hard. There is actually nothing wrong with that and I will explain.
The bots are fine, just play like me.
And why some players are better and have abilities.
I will explain it all.
Here are my credentials,
I won second place (not first place on pourpose because I didn't want to pay) in research playoff and got 5k pilot upgrade points, 20 k or so implant credits and more, because I hoarded my resources and didn't upgrade the second I could and apent 3k acoins and 800k credits, all free to play.
SPEEDRACER RAMMED ME WHY? So why faster dude with abilities you don't have? Well you are obviously new, because you don't know, it's actually pretty obvious, so don't worry. I myself am having so much fun after playing forever slow and normal, and I absolutley love my upgrades. It's so much more fun. You can upgrade your stuff, not just your mechs, but your pilots, and your implants. I know how you feel, and im the dude that makes more powerful players and whales loose, so I made a transition free to play, anyone can gain what I gained, maybe not the resources from winning in contests, but everyon can upgrade.
It's basically an rpg, meaning the game.
I use an implant to help me win my game, charging across the map at huge distances, and recharge ability faster, and for damage and weapon reload. I will adress it later, but even though you always get equalized in terms of power and playing well, having more mobility and options makes it all more fun, and having to earn ot is happiness, not just pleasure.
Some pilots have powers that help certain weapons, and they get you like 20% more damage (per shot.
Upgrading your mechs and getting good weapons and upgrading the weapons too is how you get more damage and have more health, respectively inerted .
THIS GAME IS BASICALLY AN RPG. Upgrade your stuff, but not always, because it can be a worse idea than other strategies Sometimes. In fact, you do not need power to win a co test against whales, and I will explain that later.
MATCHMAKING AND BAD PLAYERS
When you do well you are promoted to harder players.
I can not tell you how good it is to get harder people. Oh my goodness. I have low power and higher power people and whales are so fun to defeat or even teach you some valuable lessons, you will only get better if you are able. My gosh I love to blow up whales.
I will adress the idea of people lowering their rank (it's probably incorect, but you can learn how, I suppose- it's pointless though, and for them as well)
MATCHMAKING AND BAD MECHS ON MY TEAM
Who cares, you can win in cpc if you know how to exploit bots. They are so stupid
bots;
shoot their weapons in full to reload, even
if you are behind cover
they are behind cover
their is a ceiling
you are protected by a ceiling
you are up on a pillar
you placed down and ability
have bad aim for the first few seconds and then have almost perfect aim
will literally ignore you if you go behind a wall and they have a main priority that they switch only when the override is available and then ignore it.
will spawn if anyone on there team tpcan see you.
spawn even if a team mate has control point
spawn as soon as they can.
strong bots will survive long enough not to spawn and walk all the way to central controle point after they capture. I like stronger teams, its easier to win.
will be a copy of players you played with.
will play with you if you played with someone.
will not have archer missiles as much or on kill shots if you're good enough to not be matched with them.
will fire into team mates (theirs) so you can fight the whole team even if more powerfull if you just use cover. I have done it (not the whole team, but its just one mech of damage), and it probably feels as good as you can imagine.
use abilities at a set distance, even if instant
Again I am a free to play player who likes playing against harder teams with more power and whaleness.
MATCHMAKING AGAIN
look, it doesnt matter how powerfull you are, you play well in a row, you will get wrecked, then if you get wrecked to much, you will wreck.
You dont need to spend upgrading. Just grind until you know what you want to do.
I literally won second place free to play and could have won first, BECAUSE OF MATCHMAKING
You litarerally can save up three k acoins and 500k credits (300k in the crates) and 500 crates of silver and 50 or so gold Because matchmaking will hold your hand.
and when you get powerfull, it will give you harder people so its the same. Its still more fun with more power, but you are wasting your time trying to worry about it. You win half the time, unless your really good And it is helpfull.
MATCH MAKING EXPLOITERS
If you understood everything I said, not you realize now why players are probably actually deranking like you think, but the matchmaking isn't actually busted.
As I said, you play well, get put against wreckers, get wrecked, get pit against noobs.
So this can happen for many reasons, and most ofthe time its not on porpose.
Reasons why it can happen, but first, do notforget that loosing or winning in a ow effects thinhs more
You had a really good team, and now they are gone and it's time to get blown up (upranked but not suited)
You changed your weapons or mechs, and you can't do as well. (You will get deranked)
You are good at a game mode but not others.
You switched your pilots so you can upgrade a higher but currently weaker one
You are tilted
You weren't paying attention
You are sick and tired of rows of weaklings, and you got wrecked
And snipers. You litterally are like rpg characters when it comes to that skill. It is verry hard to hit things, and at first you can hit 5 good shots a day. After a while, your going to miss, and it is brutal to miss a single shot with snipers. I'm not exagerating. Brutal. Yes.
All of this is how people get deranked, and conversly, how others get a smashlord in the game.
If you are astute, you probably figured out how this info means to uprank.
I know it's annoying, but if someone got shoved too low, they probably lost multiple games in a row, and are quite frusterated by then, and will be put in a match not as easy then on their level. In other words, it is rare and helps the poor dude. So on their end, having a smash fest only repairs their moral.
I honestly only got paired against those I crushed recently, and i think its because if you have a small sample size, the algorythm doesnt know if you are really good, or not. It is really giving you a chance to play at your level without having to slog through tonns of boring garbage. And you might find yourself suddenly better after an epiphany and destroy hard people all of a sudden. This is great. For me, it means I'm not bored and disliking playing the game. Trust me defeating easy people and getting loads of easy kills gets boring. There's nothing funnier than wrcking a team with a gingerbread mechin the middle of the summer and showing uo on the leaderboard, but its fun when good players get wrecked by paper meche with a rocket strapped on it too.
But this is really good. Think of it. You are aways changing, so the game adapts to you, but you have to adapt to. It gives gives you a challenge that is still challenge, but if you are creative and skilled, you will beat the hard modes it throws at you. It's literally what I do here.
WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT
It is pay to win,
but you can win.
In fact, having more powerfull bots on the enemy team makes it easier as you wont get spawned on when you capture the control point. I cant tell you quite intensly enough how helpfull it is to have more powerfull enemies.
What about 5v5?
Bots are dumb. You can beat bots much more powerfull than you. they discharge the whole clip into walls and stuff like that.
if you duck behind cover long enough, their aim becomes trash again. Meaning snipers will miss. You use bad aim to get them to fail while you get behind cover while you still have the time.
I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO LOTS OF DAMAGE
Well I do
AIMING
I suggest you try both aim types with all weapon types and aim sensitivies.
This means testing auto weapons, rockets, snipers, against the target bots and messing with sensitivity with each weapon multiple times, then all again with the other aiming type.
Thats only part one.
The next part is getting good with the aim type, and then you readjust and maybe redo the aiming on the second type.
This is a good way to learn what playstyle you like, or what you will be good at. You might not be good at both snipers and shot guns with the same settings, but atleast you will know how to be better with the weapons.
PLAYSTYLE
Nothing wrong with turning into a sniper after being a melee bro.(I mean having multiple playstyles mastered). Just understand that a sniper sacrifices damage to turn the game into a win by strategic with what they do... or you could just do damage. But you can cut groups of enemies and have them outnumbered against your team. the idea is you either make an enemy ready to get killed by someone else, or you finish him when its a bad idea to be dead now. You have to know who to ingore.
Snipers. You want to call of duty time someone? Rail gun 16. I hope you used snipers the whole game.
Back damage is more damage. Back armor is weak.
GO I TO SETTINGS AND ADD THE INDICATORS FOR DAMAGE TYPE AND COLORS FOR THEM.
Giving some fire from a lazor is a great way to destroy them without using three shots. If you fire them, or apply burning status effect, and shoot their back, its all over. In only one shot.
PAPER MECHE
Yeah, my kill shot will die fast, like real fast.
It also takes full reloads to kill.
It's the game winning mech. I win games because I start with it and place the enemy in a loosing situations. Bots and players ignoring me is why. Then they loose with more kills in cpc, or chase a rocket with hit-enemy-behind-cover-fire-while-behind-cover killshot in 5v5. no, its not a good idea. They can call of duty melt me if I make one wrong move. It's fine. It's hillarious.
YES ITS PAY TO WIN
They won't fix zypher despite nerfing it being a good idea and industry standard for new mechs.
Honestly, I melt zyphers when a whale tries to buy skill. They are so annoying though. I hate zyphers. I hate killing mechs frozen by them. It sucks. I feel pathetic every time. I hate it. And you basically are if you take advantage if the ability. That mech secks.
and surge... what in the heck? It can't be shut down, it just destroys you.
but those mechs are weak. You can blow them up If the whales just barge out with their power like morons.
I have killed so many zyphers and surges because they are still kind if ballanced.
They still need a nerf.
