I would like to add to comments about the matchmaking algorithm.
Yes, sometimes it seems unfair. Sometimes it seems like they tossed out the system that worked and implemented a completely messed up new one. But most of the time it seems to work fine for myself.
However, I play with a combination or rare, epic and legendary items acquired from gear hub and won from playoff events. On another account I use all gear hub 3 star rare equipment. It also seems to work fine most of the time but sometimes I will encounter 3 star legendaries frequently when I stand virtually no chance. I can't testify for my current experience I haven't played in weeks. By the way if you're getting frustrated with mech arena and something like the matchmaking it may be a good idea to take a break. Also it helps if the matchmaking feels wrong to share your hangar. There may be something you're not considering
I like how you completely went over my comment, one of which made total sense, just to push a piece of writing you dont even truly believe yourself. And please, dont say you do, we all know thats untrue. This world Is crazy, we've been listening to your voice repeating the same things, over and over and over again. Even if its the same question or suggestion, all you do is copy paste, copy paste, copy and paste and then add emogis to make us think its really you. No its not you. As I see your account, you barely even play the game. Therefore, all you are saying, was instructed by the devlopers for you to say with a 'smile' on your face. You are not a community manager, you are something worse. A manager is a person who helps manage yet ensures the best stability for others. Your are not that type, you are a person used by Plarium GLobal Ltd.'s Mech Arena developers, to try and cover up the truths hidden behind the developers trechourous hearts. You pretend to tell 'all' of the truth, over and over again, yet you are in fact lying almost all the time. You and your plarium buddies are habitual liars by the developers will. And you expect us to not find out. When we tell that something is wrong in your game, it actually is. Yet you try to shrug it off to enforce the thought that its just the players not having great skill (just like you), or that we need to switch things around in our hanger to ensure 'better results'. Also, if you do make adjusments, its always too much and its always to where we have to pay for something to be fully happy with whats new. All you want is money and money only. It is almost as if you want to make what is getting bought happy yet not the players themselves. Your company brand is not good. All you updates have become washed, boring, and not fun. There is no reason to wonder anymore why everyone is starting to not play regularly. If you have thousands of dollars to waste on a old washed game that can be gone in a snap, play mech arena. If you dont have money, the discard this game in the trash. Play something more deserving, something where the developers love to give things for free and they love to make you happy, for example, brawl stars.
You're getting personal with the message, and it's not welcomed by the rules of our form. If you want to criticize, discuss, or speculate on something here - you're welcome, but insulting someone, including the devs or other employees - it's too much. It's the first warning - if you continue to talk with others in this manner, be sure that you will be muted.
"We've been listening to your voice repeating the same things, over and over and over again" - the same answers to the same questions. Our team can't come up with something new while we are working, and the process is in progress. That's the truth, and it's not a secret - barely all the existing issues in the game require a lot of time and effort.
"All you updates have become washed, boring, and not fun" - you are free to suggest what you would like to see in the game; I'll repeat once again, we take into account all the feedback we receive.
The game is good but I don't like the pop up purchases.
It's very annoying. I can't touch a single thing, ( for some time).
Hello there! The issue is known, and we may consider optimizing this feature in the future, but it's not a priority at this moment. Note that the majority of these pop-ups are unique and generated personally for your account, considering your game experience and preferences.
THE MATCHING ALGORITHM IS SERIOUSLY FLAWED WITHOUT DOUBT.
You may enjoy the game for a couple weeks and then find you are matched with players with mechs and weapons 2-3 tiers higher than yours. So, what is the point of this? My most straight forward guess is βPlarium wants you to pay for better mechs and weaponsβ. Stop telling me this βskill-basedβ matching rules.
Plarium, you just ruined your own job. You turned a great, entertaining game into a frustrating and disappointing money-sucking program. I should have researched the review earlier before I started playing. I have paid real US Dollars for several gold passes. But the more I paid for gold passes, the more over-powered players I was matched to in battles. When I was in League Division 7 with tier 3 mechs and weapons, I encountered players with tiers over 7 mechs and weapons. And this happened to many people as well. The most shocking experience I have had recently is my ID was forced moved from League Division 3 to Season Division 10! I DO NOT WANT this move (or "qualification"). How could Plarium do so to force a player to play with over-powered players? Plarium, you totally ruined the game.
Plarium will not earn a penny from me anymore since I have told my son that there will be no more in-game purchase before the matching algorithm is significantly corrected.
For those who are willing to pay to win, enjoy your game!
PS: I have sent a request to ask the Customer Support to resolve this βdivision changeβ issue. The request number is 5912476. More than 24 hours has been past. Hopefully, I will receive a response in the coming 23 hours or so.
Let me share a little bit more about matching algorithm.
I have been playing World of Warship Blitz for more than 5 years. I have been spending money to collect mostly warships from time to time. Of course, there is problem in their matching algorithm. However, at least when you play, you face players with the same tier or 1 tier more or 1 tier less ships. The stats of ships are not that different. How you win matters mostly on how good your and your teammates' skills are. There is no over-powered crush happening. However, in Mech Arena, skill can not win over over-powered mechs and weapons, even they are in the same tier. For example, mini gun 6 significantly over-powers all the other weapons in tier 4. Not mention the mechs and weapons that are 2 tiers higher.
"One, matchmaking is NOT based on skill no matter what you say and the vast difference in hangars in numerous documented battles show that 'approximately' means nothing π€¦ββοΈπ " - I can't agree with you. I understand your point, and I understand why you think in this way, but the fact of actual code and algorithm tells another. It doesn't work perfectly, though, but we are working on it. Perhaps, I hope, it will get advanced so much that you could change your mind.
"Two, paid content is locked behind a paywall that consists of predominantly legendary items and is far superior to items that f2p has access to so there's no way the grades are remotely close to the same on most occasions. A perfect example is buying nomad (not accessible to f2p) and then just completely destroying your opponents. Nearly every single one who has nomad has high wins, places very high in tournaments, and easily completes events compared to f2p. Stats and numbers don't lie..." - rather a skill issue. Even having not that much proficiency, barely each player with Surge can be a counter to any Mech. Moreover, there is Guardian which is not even Legendary.
"Like I said and if you took the time to actually read and understand what I said, it's not out of the realm of possibility that a predominantly rare/epic hangar can take out an all paid legendary hangar but the odds are not in their favor. That's a FACT whether you want to admit it or not. Otherwise, there would be zero reason to buy new items or try to improve the hangar if someone is looking for a competive edge." - I did read and understood. The reason to buy new Content is faster progress and earlier access to unique novelties. Our designers are doing a comprehensive job to make each Mech absolutely unrepeated, even if it's based on something already released, e.g., Nomad - Killshot.
"The game is p2w as clearly defined by your own link and the current game dynamics which also includes the atrocious matchmaking that is clearly designed to entice players to spend, not create a fair game experience..." - it depends on what sense you take from the description. Personally, I think the text from the link clearly denies the point that MA is p2w.
I hope that my comments shed some light on the subject. It's absolutely okay if you are questioning my words, but all I'm trying to deliver here is what we think and why we think in such a way.

Hello! It may take for the Support team to get back to you due to the number of messages they receive. Usually, it takes 24 hours, but it may take longer, depending on the load we have.
We will take into account your feedback and be sure that the adjustments for the Matchmaking system are under development πͺ
The matchmaking system is designed to match players with approximately the same hangar, skills, and geo (that's the fact that it may not perform that slightly, but the work is in progress). Thus, if there is a match between two players, one of each has predominantly f2p, and the other has paid Content, but the Grades are equal - they are likely to have equal chances of winning. It depends on skill as well. I have seen numerous times how a Rare Mech Guardian was destroying Seekers and Blockhorns, so I doubt the p2w aspect a lot.
Besides, I was mentioning only 1v1 occasions. Having a team of skilled players, no matter which Content they have, and having an effective teamplay will provide an undeniable benefit.
I take a bit of an issue with the suggestion that the matchmaking system takes Grades of equipment into account. I have unlocked Tier 5 and am regularly put up against mechs from Tier 9 as well as weapons from tier 8. And while I do have Surge (I've been playing for a long time, so I was able to purchase him almost a year ago on the XP track), I can't build a team of legendaries because I'm Tier 5. If you want to say that by grade you mean Rare, Epic, and Legendary - remember that mechs from Tier 9 are advertised to be "better than other legendaries from tier 7 & 8, so they are definately a higher grade.
Something is wrong. The fact that its been months since Gear Hub was implemented and something so basic as limiting opponents based on their gear hasn't been solved is a massive issue.
As I mentioned in another post, I created a second account. That account has not won any new mechs from any vaults or giveaways, its only got the Rare mechs it has unlocked. However on that account I have gone up against Nomad and Bastion (among others) several times now. I don't have a single Epic mech on that account, I also don't have ANYTHING LEGENDARY. This is a basic problem that should have been fixed long ago.
As I said before, "Something is rotten in the state of Denmark."

How about your weapons? I have done experiments on one account I used all rare mechs and some epic weapons and frequently saw legendary stuff the epic weapons were rank 4 and rare stuff rank 3 by the way. I tried it with all rare weapons too, rank 3, and virtually no legendary stuff and if I saw it, it was 2 stars.

Cool it with the namecalling. As Drew mentioned, paying is optional. Nobody is forcing you to pay anything at all. Nobody is forcing you to buy anything to win; hell, you don't even need to win matches at all in order to play the game. Sure, having 5 revoker builds is going to help you win matches, but there's your choice- pay money to get the latest and greatest weapons in order to gain a competitive advantage; or don't pay anything at all and be okay with losing. You cannot just decide to *not* pay and then complain when you lose vs people that chose to do so; that's immature and childish.
As for stealing money? What, Plarium broke down your door and robbed you at gunpoint? You *chose* to spend money, and in doing so, you agreed to the terms and conditions put down by Plarium. Them rebalancing something is well within their rights. Don't like it? Request a refund.

This moderator constantly insults other players!! Myself included! He also whines to me in private messages about how he is untouchable. Why is Plarium keeping a "MAN" who continues to act like a child on this forum!! The fact that he thinks it is okay to talk to players like this is Plarium's doing. He should have been let go a long time ago! You have no clue what RESPECT means!! We should not have to report this but the community managers continue to ignore it!

You want respect, then earn it. Wasting my time with pointless whining won't get you anything from me. I answer only to Drew, and if he feels like I shouldn't be a moderator here, then I'll accept the decision accordingly. I have a very good understanding of what 'respect' is, and you have done nothing to earn it. If you wanna cry about DMs, do it with screenshots. I never said anything about being untouchable, I was merely responding to you calling me names. Grow up.
THE LAST THING I WANT OR NEED IS YOUR RESPECT. You are living in a fantasy land!! Always complaining about imaginary slights. Santa is not real and wrestling is fake ... Wake up! No one called you names. I will use simple language when someone accuses Plarium of lying or cheating, you seem to take it very personally, as if they are targeting you specifically. That is delusional. You are a moderator on a forum not the CEO. Now about the actual comments you made. You lied to the players and I called you on it. That is a fact. You said matchmaking is impossible because players SP drop. That is a lie! If you are unable to deal with that, please refrain from providing untruthful information. You sent me a DM and said you made massive contributions to this game. Being rude to players and misinforming them is not a contribution. The last thing I want is your respect. You have no idea what RESPECT even means. Drew respects everyone's opinion even if he does not agree with it. Never makes anything personal and never insults the players. Which is probably why Drew is the manager and you are just the moderator. If you can't handle this small amount of authority, how will you survive in the real world? The fact that you have numerous people who are telling you how to do your job speaks volumes. You act like a child and do not know the first thing about dealing with people. I am sure Plarium is more than embarrassed with you. Now I will end this because any dialogue with you is a waste of time. I will wait until you insult someone else. It shouldn't take too long.
