It works with chat too.
What about web version I don't know.

Hey guys. I don’t know how to fix my clan name. It stuck with [FFFFFF] and cannot type 20 Characters anymore. Is there any way to correct the colour code ? or removing the colour code ? Do i need to request Plarium ?

I have been able to edit the name of my clan and just backspace over the code - is that not working for you?
