Lord DJMOODY...I respectfully disagree. I don't feel it is dumbing down the game. Rather simply eliminating a laborius mondane task which probably repels more players than it attracts. After all doesen't your financial institutions provide you with statements of your accounts?? You can even access them 24 - 7 online.....just as it should be in this game. And, just as it is now, players who don't understand the mechanics of BG's, won't know what to make of the bank statement. I don't mind working things out for myself if the endevor is worth it but sorry, this is boring & rediculous.

Lord DEVNULLICUS......that sounds fantastic!!! I have constructeed my own sheet but gawd......filling it out makes clearing out a list of BG's a day long event. It is exactly the point I was trying to make with Lord DJMOODY. This would simply eliminate a long ardjous & unecessary task.

On the contrary my lord, this is a great analogy. Again, the existence of a bg bank statement will not make it easier for players to LEARN BG's, only easier to monitor your progresss. Players wanting to learn more about the game come to this forum, which is exactly what the forum is for. Those players who either are not worried about or, simply don't have the time for learning more, won't come to the forum. You remind me of a skilled employee, who is ready for retirement & resents the new guys comming in because you feel they haven't walked the "road of hard knocks" as you have. Most people don't have the time to spend hours, days, or weeks learning the game; as maybe you have. But, that doesn't make the sharing of information, & these forum posts a crime. Am I also to assume, that now, because you seemingly already know everything about the game that you are now bored with it???

But, I think the bank analogy is still better because of the "Running Balance" feature with ALL Bank & Credit Accounts.

Obviously, you don't understand the mindset of a programmer.  If I didn't enjoy making things like this, I wouldn't have done it.   I, like many programmers, enjoy problem solving, research, and the satisfaction of making something complicated less so by the process of automation.   Besides, programming something that is complicated puts me in that "zone" and is very peaceful for me.  I could have programmed ANYTHING to achieve that inner peace, but I like Stormfall, I was bored and saw a problem that needed automation to make my own life easier.  That's really all it takes to launch any programmer on a months-long quest.

Well put, Lord DJMoody. Stormfall may seem casual and can attract casual players, but it's actually a hardcore and challenging game that requires dedication and effort. We at Plarium truly admire our top players and leagues for their persistence and loyalty to Stormfall. The amount of work some Stormfallers put into the game in incredible.

A dumb ass question. I have Google Drive but haven't done much with it at all. How do I get the linked spreadsheet into my Drive? Is it just copy and paste or should there be a button somewhere that I'm not seeing?

Okay. Ignore that first dumb question, I figured it out. 

Now the next dumb question. "You will have to authorize your copy to use the buttons. These buttons are necessary for the spreadsheet to work (sorry)"

How do I "authorize" my copy?

I actually did make a stab at adding in rewards from BG tournaments to the ratio calculator, just forgot to mention it in the changes list, I think.  Take a look at the bottom of the bank tab.   Unfortunately, I don't think it's complete yet as I didn't add space for the daily rewards which has a lot more types of things you can get.   It's a work in progress :)

As for copying from 4.0->4.2, that is something I hadn't really thought about until last night.   It's tricky because you don't want to just cut-n-paste areas because the formulas might have changed. 

For the bank page, you can safely cut and paste the following columns "Last Large Payout", "Overflow Killed (Credits)", "Overflow Number Rewarded (Debits)" from "Archer" through "Food".   Be careful though because Reavers and Huntress were added, so you'll have to make sure the old values are in the proper rows on the new spreadsheet.

In order for the bank to be correct, you'll ALSO need to copy the "Previously Accumulated Totals" columns on the Defensive and Offensive BG tabs.  You'll need to grab the rows for "Own Units Killed" and "Rewards" ("Initial Enemy Units" and "Enemy Killed Rows" are optional - they're just fun data to know).  Again, be careful to make sure the values get copied to the correct new rows because of the addition of Reaver and Huntress.

For all other pages, you should just be able to safely copy and paste any cells that have a white background.

I'm not sure if there's a way to automate this - there might be.  I'll give it some thought and see if I can't figure out a way.  For now, those instructions will have to do.

1DonutBoy:  I do, actually.  On the defensive BGs, you just choose the troop types and it tells you the amount needed and in the Offensive BGs, it tells you how many of the "optimal" troop types you need in the "Number and Cost to Yellow" and "Number and Cost to Kill" rows (35-56)
