From what I understand, the mentor quest tracks 8 completed Hard Cursed City stages within the current rotation, not necessarily across multiple rotations. If you completed 5 stages in the previous rotation and then 3 after the reset, those earlier clears may not count toward the same quest progress.

It doesn't usually require 8 different bosses or completely unique stages, just 8 qualifying Hard-mode stage clears that meet the quest requirements during the active rotation. However, some players have reported that progress can occasionally fail to update immediately, so it's worth checking the quest tracker and restarting the game to force a refresh.

If you've definitely cleared 8 valid Hard Cursed City stages in the same rotation and the quest still hasn't completed, it could be a bug. In that case, I'd recommend taking screenshots of your progress and opening a support ticket so the developers can verify the quest state on your account.

Can you confirm whether the first 5 clears were done before the Cursed City rotation reset? That detail would help determine whether it's a tracking issue or simply a rotation-related requirement.
